Which image formats can I crop?

The local crop tool accepts common JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF images, subject to the displayed file-size limits.

Does cropping remove all private information?

No. Cropping removes pixels outside the selected area only. Check the exported image and remove metadata separately when needed.
