What stays private
The conversion runs in the browser tab on the device that already holds the photo. Fyleap does not offer an image-upload endpoint, so the selected image is not sent to Fyleap for conversion.
Will the original HEIC file change?
No. The tool creates a new JPG file. Your original stays unchanged on your device.
Why might a large HEIC take time?
HEIC decoding and image compression use your device memory and processor. For very large photos, reduce the output dimensions first.
